Motor Maalik ("we," "our," "the platform") is operated by GrowthIQ Ventures OPC Pvt. Ltd.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect from users of the Motor Maalik app — both Vehicle Owners and Drivers — why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have over your own data.

By creating an account or using Motor Maalik, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2.1 Account Information

• Full name
• Phone number (used for account login via OTP)
• City

2.2 Identity Verification Documents (KYC)

From all users:

• Government-issued ID proof (Aadhaar/PAN)

From Drivers additionally:

• Driving license
• A selfie/photo for identity verification

From Owners additionally, per vehicle listed:

• Registration Certificate (RC)
• Vehicle Insurance
• Pollution Under Control (PUC) Certificate
• Fitness Certificate (FC)
• Permit
• Road Tax payment receipt

2.3 Location Data

• Live GPS location is collected only from Drivers, and only while a rental is Active. Location sharing automatically stops when a rental is completed or cancelled.
• This location is visible only to the Owner of the specific vehicle being rented — not to other users, and not retained for use beyond the active rental period.

2.4 Payment Information

• Payment transactions are processed through Razorpay, a licensed payment aggregator. Motor Maalik does not directly store your card, UPI, or bank account credentials.
• We do retain records of transaction amounts, dates, and payment status for the purpose of rental history, commission calculation, and dispute resolution.
• Owners provide bank account details for the purpose of receiving weekly settlement payouts.

2.5 Usage Information

• App interaction data (e.g., rentals completed, ratings given/received, dispute history) collected to operate and improve the platform.

We use collected information to:

• Verify user identity and eligibility to use the platform (KYC review)
• Facilitate rental requests, approvals, and vehicle handovers between Owners and Drivers
• Process and record payments, commissions, and settlements
• Enable live location sharing during active rentals, for the safety of vehicle Owners
• Resolve disputes between users
• Maintain a rating and reputation system
• Communicate important account or transaction updates (via app notifications, SMS, or WhatsApp)
• Comply with applicable Indian law, including cooperating with law enforcement in cases of suspected theft or fraud

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

• Razorpay (our payment processing partner) — to process payments and settlements
• The other party in a rental transaction, in limited form: an Owner reviewing a rental request sees the Driver's verification status, rating, and license summary; a Driver sees the vehicle's listed details and Owner's verification status. Full documents (e.g., raw Aadhaar images) are not shared between users — only reviewed by platform admin for verification purposes.
• Law enforcement authorities, where legally required — for example, supporting a police report in the case of vehicle theft or non-return, or in response to a valid legal request
• We do not share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties

• Data is stored using Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure) with access-controlled security rules restricting who can read or write specific data
• Verification documents are only accessible to platform administrators for the purpose of KYC review
• We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse

• Account and verification data is retained for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward as required for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes
• Live location data is not retained beyond what is necessary for the active rental and any related dispute investigation

In accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) 2023, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data, subject to any legal or contractual obligations that require us to retain certain records (e.g., completed transaction history)
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing, where applicable

The Motor Maalik app requests location access from Drivers to enable the live vehicle tracking feature, which allows Owners to view their rented vehicle's location during an active rental. This permission is used solely for this safety and trust purpose and is not used for advertising or shared with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.

Motor Maalik is intended for use by individuals who meet the minimum legal age and licensing requirements to own or operate a commercial vehicle in India. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app. Continued use of Motor Maalik after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
